Trump announces sending an army to Portland, Oregon

US President Donald Trump announced on Saturday on his Truth Social platform that Portland, the largest city in Oregon, would send the army to the “war”, which will also protect migration services (ICE) from the attacks of “national terrorist organizations”.

“At the request of the Minister of National Security Kristi Noem, I order the Minister of War Pete HegeSth to provide all necessary troops to protect Portland and all Ice fingers, besieged by Antify and other national terrorist organizations,” wrote Trump.

He emphasized that he allows the use of “full force, if necessary”, and added: “Thank you for your attention in this matter!”

The daily “USA Today”, which cites Trump's entry, points out that it is unclear whether the president means mobilizing the National Guard or a referral to Portland other formations of a regular army.

The newspaper reminds that Trump has already sent the National Guard to Los Angeles, Washington and Memphis, Tennessee.
