At the match were present the supporters of FCU Craiova along with those from Fervent, a brigade from Farul Constanța. The pages of the supporters claim that the incident broke out after the South Craiova lawn demanded the match because Hungary – Hungary appeared on the table, instead of Romania – Hungary.

The fans of FCU Craiova were divided into the two stands of the room, and when the conflict with the gendarmerie came to one side, the other supporters jumped on the ground from the other stands to defend them, and the beating degenerated.

Later, the game resumed after the fans were evacuated. The match was more delayed because the officials waited for the room to ventilate. The match resumed after almost 45 minutes.
