Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire from the Pantelimon's Entafrig Deposit after 36 hours

ISU Bucharest-Ilfov announced on Thursday morning that firefighters have to liquidate the fire from the Entafrig warehouse in Sector 2 of the Capital, where the fire started on Tuesday evening and expanded more than 7,000 square meters.

“The fire in Aleea Hobiţa was extinguished. Two extinguishing vehicles, a CBRN crew and a SMURD ambulance remain in supervision,” said ISU Bucharest-Ilfov, quoted by News.ro.

In the next period the firefighters will try to establish the cause of the fire.

The fire started on Tuesday evening at around 8 pm, and expanded quickly due to infralable materials inside the warehouse.

The fire was manifested on more than 7,000 square meters, and the metal structure of the construction was affected by the high temperatures recorded during the fire, so it was largely destroyed.

At the time of maximum flames, firefighters intervened with 26 special vehicles, later the device being resized.

Due to the fire and dense smoke, the air in several sectors of the Capital has been unjust.
The authorities were issued, on Tuesday evening, four RO-Allert messages for warning the population in sectors 2, 3, 4 and 5 regarding large smoke releases, the locals being advised to close the doors and windows.

According to the National Agency for Environment and Protected Areas (ANMAP), the particle concentrations in the atmosphere have reached, at the station in the Trade Register area, a level seven times higher than the maximum allowed level.

On Wednesday, the measurements made by the National Agency for Environment and Protected Areas (ANMAP) have shown that the values ​​of PM10 and PM2.5 particle concentrations have returned within normal limits.
