The Heroes 1 subway station was flooded on Tuesday, and the water fell from the ceiling on the platform, according to the images captured by the witnesses. Metrorex has announced that it was “quickly intervened” and the trains run according to the chart. The capital enters tonight, from 9 pm, under the red code of strong rains.
“The Metrorex management has requested to increase the degree of mobilization for rapid prevention and intervention in order to ensure the optimal functioning of the subway network,” announces Metrorex, in the context of the Red Rain Code, which enters into force in a few hours.
The company says that, already, in some stations, the infiltrations “have been more pronounced”, and set the situation at the Heroes Station 1.
Video images captured by Bucharest who was on the platform at the subway station shows how the water was flowing from the ceiling. The images were published in the morning, on the Facebook page of the Public Radio Bucharest.
In this context, Metrorex said that “Metrorex employees in collaboration with the cleaning company, other contractual partners and utility providers have intervened quickly and removed the effects of infiltration”.
“At this moment, the subway trains travel according to the traffic chart, with no disturbances in underground traffic.
