The religion teacher who is also a priest in Năvodari was detained by the DIICOT prosecutors, for 24 hours, for child pornography, being accused of asking a 16 -year -old student to take him and send him photos in which the victim appeared in explicit sexual hypostases.

The priest from Năvodari was detained on Tuesday for child pornography, after sending more sexually explicit sexual messages to some students. Teens involved are 16 and 17 years old. Tomis Metropolis announced that he had withdrawn the man from the service.
“Based on the evidence administered, it was established that, on September 18 and 19, 2025, the person, taking advantage of the position of authority on a minor victim (16 years), in his supervision and education, would have asked them to produce and transmit, through an online messenger application, image materials, in which the person will appear in the case. The person was discovered and raised by data storage units ”, IPJ Constanta representatives announced.
He is to be presented to the Constanta Court with a proposal for a preventive arrest for 30 days, writes News.
The case came to light after a teenager told his parents that the religion teacher sends him indecent messages and images. The parents, helped by a civic association, organized a flagrant, then called the emergency number 112.
According to the representatives of the Constanța County Police Inspectorate, the police in Mamaia were notified on Monday morning, around 9.00 am, about a 17 -year -old minor would have received several sexual tint messages. From the first checks, it turned out that the man would have proceeded in the same way, on September 18, and another teenager, 16 years old.
The police officers of the Criminal Investigation Service, under the coordination of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Constanta Court, started the investigations.
Also, Monday morning, although he was already in the attention of the people of the law, the religion teacher would have sent new photos to another student. The minor went to the police immediately. Conversations with indecent proposals and pornographic images transmitted to students would have been discovered in the man's phone. The man teaches the eight -year religion at a high school in Constanța and serves as a priest at a church in Năvodari.
