The Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu, told Hotnews on Tuesday evening that the institution she runs has limited duties and that she cannot take other measures besides monitoring the air quality, in the context of the violent fire with large smoke releases in Sector 2 of the Capital.

The authorities issued four RO-Alert messages on Tuesday evening as a result of the intense smoke after the fire broke out at a deposit in Sector 2, the population being warned to close its doors and windows, the ISU Bucharest-Ilfov announced.
“Under the influence of wind gusts, there is a risk that the smoke will enter the nearby homes, in which we ask the tenants to close the doors and windows, and to the traffic participants to facilitate the movement of fire trucks,” said ISUBIF.
A fire broke out on Tuesday evening at a hall in Sector 2 of the Capital – in Șos. Pantelimon, in the area being large smoke releases.
According to ISUBIF, at least 10 extinguishing vehicles were alerted.
