Bayern Munich had fun with Wolfsburg in the first match of 2026
The Bavarians opened the scoring after just five minutes from the start of the game, thanks to Kilian Fischer's own goal, but the visitors quickly got back into the game, managing to restore the tie in the 13th minute, through Dzenan Pejcinovic.
Afterwards, however, the German champions put on a real display of football at the Allianz Arena, scoring seven more times until the end of the match.
Michael Olise scored the “double” (50', 76'), and Harry Kane (69'), Luis Diaz (30') and newcomers Raphael Guerreiro (68') and Leon Goretzka (88'), respectively, also scored a goal each.
The other goal for Vincent Kompany's team was also an unfortunate intervention by a Wolfsburg player, this time the one who sent the ball into his own goal was Moritz Jenz (53').

Following this result, the Bavarians have accumulated 44 points, and at the moment, the distance to second-placed Borussia Dortmund measures no less than 11 lengths.
On the other hand, Daniel Bauer's “wolves” stayed at the post with number 15, being in 14th place in the ranking.
In the next round of the Bundesliga, Bayern will perform at FC Koln, while Wolfsburg will receive the visit of the newly promoted St. Pauli.
