Five people drowned in the huge waves that hit several areas of Australia at the beginning of the weekend, and two others are missing off the coasts of New South Wales and Victoria, reports BBC.
A man was found breathless in the ocean on Saturday in the south of New South Wales, one day after a 58 -year -old fisherman and two other men were found dead.
Rescuers are looking for a man who was taken by waves near Sydney. Also on Friday, a woman drowned, and a man is disappeared after the group they were part of was taken by the sea in San Remo, in the state of Victoria.
“One of the women managed to get back to the shore, but the other woman and the man failed,” said Victoria police, quoted by the BBC.

Victoria State Prime Minister Jacinta Allan said it was a “terrible start” of Easter weekend. “My thoughts are with the family of someone who has lost their lives in such tragic circumstances, and unfortunately, other difficult news could follow,” she said.
Eastern states of Australia were hit by dangerous waves.
The head of the Charitable Surf Life Saving Australia, Adam Weir, recommended tourists to go only on supervised beaches, after their data have shown that 630 people have drowned on unpaved beaches in the last 10 years.
