French President Emmanuel Macron is to announce the recognition of Palestina by France on Monday. But the release of the hostages held by Hamas is “a clear condition before opening an embassy,” said the Romanian head of the French state in an interview with the American CBS station, quoted by News.ro.

“This is the first series of conditions and requirements that we will implement in the peace process. But we will announce on 22 (September no) the recognition of the Palestinian state.”

The recognition of the state of Palestine does not mean to play the Hamas, he responded to those who reproach his decision, especially those in the United States.

“I do not respond to Hamas's expectations,” which is “obsessed with the destruction of Israel,” he said. “But I recognize the legitimacy of so many Palestinians who want a state, who are a people. They want a nation, they want a state, and we should not push them to Hamas.”

Emmanuel Macron also reaffirmed his deep disagreement with the military policy led by Benjamin Netanyahu in Gaza. He first acknowledged that this Hamas's destruction policy had a certain military “success” because they killed all the main leaders. ” But, in essence, it is a failure, because if “the Israeli army probably killed half” of the approximately “25,000 Hamas fighters”, the terrorist group “managed to recruit the equivalent” since then. “You have as many fighters as in the beginning”, so “if we want to abolish Hamas, the total war is not the solution, because it only destroying the credibility of Israel.”

On Sunday, the UK, Canada and Australia have officially recognized Palestine, and other countries are expected to take this step at the UN General Assembly in New York.

“Canada recognizes the state of Palestine and offers our partnership in building the promise of a peaceful future for both Palestine and Israel,” said Prime Minister Mark Carry.

“Today, in order to restore the hope of peace between Palestinians and Israeli and the solution of the two states, the UK officially recognizes the Palestine state,” said Prime Minister Keir Starmer on X.
