A Krasnoyarsk resident was convicted of contracted arson of an expensive car (video)

The court found the Krasnoyarsk resident guilty of deliberately destroying a car by arson and sentenced him to forced labor.

Let us remind you that in December 2024 in the Preobrazhensky microdistrict burned down standing by the side of the road a Subaru Levorg car worth 2 million rubles, and a Hyundai Creta parked nearby was damaged.

During the investigation it became clear that the person who committed the crime was Mr.a hired person, not burdened with personal motives against the owner of the Subaru Levorg.

“His interest was a monetary reward of 40 thousand rubles. The man entered into a criminal conspiracy with the customer and recruited his 33-year-old friend as his partner. For the sake of secrecy, they removed the license plates from their car, purchased a can of gasoline and began to implement their plan. Approaching the Subaru Levorg, one of the duo members generously poured gasoline on the hood near the right side of the engine compartment and set it on fire with a match. After making sure that the flame was confidently flaring up, the attackers disappeared,” the prosecutor’s office said.

According to Part 2 of Art. 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the court sentenced the man who agreed with the customer of the arson to imprisonment for 2.5 years and replaced the punishment with 2.5 years of forced labor with 10% deduction from salary to state income.

And the actual arsonist left for the Northern Military District zone.

The victim's claim for damages would also be satisfied. However, the identity of the person who ordered the crime has not yet been established.
