A Krasnoyarsk resident was not given a portion of shish kebab in a cafe because it was overcooked

A Krasnoyarsk resident complained to Rospotrebnadzor about the Shashlychok cafe on Govorova Street, where they sold him a dish that weighed less than what was promised.

The man ordered four servings of pork neck kebab – according to the menu, each should be 300 grams, that is, 1200 grams in total. But after receiving the cooked meat, it turned out that the weight of all portions including packaging was only 846 grams. A representative of the cafe explained this by saying that “the yield of the dish is indicated without taking into account the shrinkage.”

Rospotrebnadzor explained that the seller is wrong, since according to the law on the protection of consumer rights, he is obliged to promptly bring to their attention complete and reliable information about the name of the product, its weight and cost, so that they can make the right choice.

“If a cafe offers customers a ready-made kebab, then the information on the menu about its weight and cost should correspond to the finished dish, and not the semi-finished product,” the department said. — In response to our request, the entrepreneur confirmed that the menu indicated the weight of raw meat, and expressed her readiness to refund the money. For failure to provide consumers with reliable information about the weight of a portion of a finished dish, IP Yakovenko O.A. a warning has been issued regarding the inadmissibility of violating mandatory legal requirements.”

Let us note that earlier another Krasnoyarsk resident complained to Rospotrebnadzor about a similar problem. He placed an online order for the delivery of 3 kg of kebabs, the order was delivered on time, but there was only 2 kg of excess. The company also explained that they weigh raw meat, and during cooking it was fried by a kilogram.
