The conflict of Venezuela and the USA
The current conflict between Venezuela and the United States is multidimensional and combines political, military and economic elements. Its source is primarily the accusations of Washington against Caracas regarding the connections of Venezuelan authorities and military structures with drug smuggling. Americans claim that part of the Venezuelan state apparatus participates in the activities of cartels, such as the so -called Cartel de los Soles, and on this basis they conduct military operations in the Caribbean Sea, aimed at capturing Łódź suspected of smuggling.

Caracas, however, receives this as a form of aggression and interference in internal affairs, as well as as violation of state sovereignty.
In recent weeks of voltage increased as a result series of incidents. One of them was the attack of the American ship on the unit that the US recognized as a boat used for drug smuggling. Venezuela claims, however, that otherwise the American jacket stopped and searched the Venezuelan fishing boat dealing with tuna fishing, holding her crew for several hours.
In parallel to these events, economic pressure is underway. For years, the United States has been using sanctions against Venezuela, focusing on the oil sector, which is the basis of the local economy. Sanctions also include units and people associated with the Maduro government. Recently, the black list hit, among others, tankers transporting oil, which, according to the USA, took part in the celebration of international trade restrictions. Caracas perceives those activities that from Washington's point of view, Caracas as another installment of the political and economic war.
The conflict also fits into a broader geopolitical context. Venezuela strengthens relations with Russia, with which she signs new agreements on strategic cooperationwhich Washington receives as a signal that Caracas is looking for support for American pressure. As a result, the Caribbean region becomes an area of demonstration of strength in which the presence of US war ships meets the military gestures of Venezuela and its allies.
