Poland will buy over 2.5 thousand Javelin missiles for $ 780 million


As written in the DSCA message, the State Department's decision concerns the potential sales of 2506 missiles and 253 launchers with sights. The maximum weapon price is $ 780 million.
Information about the decision of the American party was confirmed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
“Another Javeliny for the Polish Army! The US Department of State granted 253 launchers to sell Poland and over 2.5 thousand missiles, along with the necessary training and spare of spare parts” – wrote the minister on platform X.
This is another purchase of Javelins through Poland. The first agreement on this armament was signed in 2020. At that time, Poland purchased 60 launchers and 180 missiles for $ 54 million, while in 2023 an annex was signed for another 500 missiles and 50 launchers for $ 103.5 million.
Javelin bullets are produced by Lockheed Martin and Raytheon. They played an important role in the full -size war of Ukraine with Russia, especially in its first phase in 2022. The bullets have a range of up to 4 km.
