Sikorski supports Ukraine on Independence Day. Strong words were said


The Independence Day of Ukraine is celebrated on August 24 – on the anniversary of the proclamation of the Independence Act in 1991.

Radosław Sikorski on the Independence Day of Ukraine. “No more Russification”
In his post, Sikorski referred to the tragic events of the history of Ukraine, including To the Hołodomor – the great hunger from 1932–1933, as a result of which at least 3.5 million people died. Although Ukraine was one of the most famous regions of Europe at the time, the USSR authorities confiscated grain and food, while exporting it abroad. Poland recognized Hołodomor as genocide in 2006.
“Be strong, ua. No more gulag, no more hunger, no more Russification. Praise Ukraine” – wrote the head of Polish diplomacy, providing the post of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The president thanked the soldiers fighting on the front for 1278 days, volunteers and all citizens who support the defense of the country. He reminded that Ukraine on the first day of Russian invasion – February 24, 2022 – “She took fate in her own hands, took a weapon and stopped the second army of the world“, refuting the myth of its invincibility.
– Ukraine has not won yet, but it certainly does not lose. Ukraine won its independence. Ukraine is not a victim, he is a warrior – said President Wołodymyr Zelnski in the Sunday message on the occasion of Independence Day.
Speaking in Kiev Majdan of Independence, Zelanski emphasized that his country not only needs the European Union, but he was needed by community as a “strong ally”, not a “poor relative”. – We offer the best army in Europe, advanced defense technologies and immunity experience – he noted.
The president referred to the symbolism of the Maidan, reminding that he was witnessing the key moments of the Ukrainians for freedom – from the orange revolution in 2004 to the revolution of dignity in 2013–2014. – This place proves that Ukraine has survived the great misfortune that Russia brought to our land He said.
Zelanski expressed the belief that despite the ongoing occupation of part of the territory, his country would re -unite within international borders. – It's just a matter of time. Ukraine believes that it can achieve peace throughout its land – he emphasized.
