In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, an ex-inspector of the traffic police will appear before the court, who released the offender for money.

The prosecutor’s office said that in April 2025 the young driver of Gazelle Next violated the rules of the road – On the Achinsk-Krasnoyarsk highway, he overtook the passing transport through continuous markings. For this violation (part 4 of article 12.15 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation) he was faced with a fine of 7.5 thousand rubles or deprivation of rights for six months.

The driver stopped inspector DPS, but did not draw up an official protocol. He agreed to release the offender. In a handshake, the inspector received a small amount – 3.4 thousand rubles.

“Without reaching the goal, the driver realized his act and went directly to the police station, where he admitted everything. He did not agree with the violation, as he completed the maneuver“, – Explained in the prosecutor's office.

Now the representative of the authorities is waiting for a criminal case. The prosecutor approved him of receiving a bribe (part 1 of article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and exceeding official powers (part 1 of article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Already a former policeman does not admit guilt. He told the investigator that the driver was simply offended by him for a preventive conversation and decided to stipulate.

The prosecutor’s office explained that the ex-inspector faces up to 4 years in prison. The Achinsky City Court will consider the case.
