The Ministry of Health will receive money to cover all the treatments abroad on the waiting list

The program of treatments abroad has 43 files on the waiting list, worth about 13 million lei, informed the Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, who announces in this context that the ministry will receive additional 20 million lei to cover these costs.
“Today, the program of treatments abroad has on the waiting list 43 files worth about 13 million lei. 30 adults and 13 children-from the smallest patient of 1 year and 8 months, to the elderly of 74 years. Most requests are for oncological disorders, but also for rare diseases, genetic disorders,” Facebook post.
According to Rogobete, the Ministry of Health will receive additional 20 million lei to cover such costs.
“Following correct and transparent discussions with the Minister of Finance – to whom I thank for promptness – on Thursday, the Ministry of Health will receive additional 20 million lei for covering these costs. This means the chance of life, continuity in treatments and hope for each patient and family in difficulty,” the Minister said.
