Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot on Wednesday during an event at Utah Valley University, according to CNBC News.
A filming of the incident, distributed on social networks, shows Kirk speaking in front of a numerous set, outdoors, when a powerful bubble, similar to a shot, was heard. In the pictures, Kirk takes his hand to his neck for a moment and falls from the chair, when the participants started running, Reuters reports.
“From the information so far, Charlie Kirk had started his presentation of about 20 minutes when firearms were heard from a nearby building. As far as we know, he was injured and evacuated with his security team, and the yard was evacuated,” said an Utah Valley University spokesman.
The university said that at least one firearm was fired on Kirk, 31, co -founder of Turning Point Usa and leader of several affiliated political organizations.
A vocal supporter of President Donald Trump, Kirk promoted his false statements that the 2020 elections were stolen in favor of Joe Biden, and his organization would have collaborated with Trump's campaign during the 2024 election.
“We all have to pray for Charlie Kirk, who was shot,” Trump wrote on Social Truth.
“An extraordinary man from all points of view. God bless him!” He added.
The director of the FBI, Kash Patel, said: “We closely monitor the information on the tragic armed attack in which Charlie Kirk was involved at Utah Valley.”
“Our thoughts are with Charlie, his loved ones and everyone affected. The agents will quickly reach the scene, and FBI fully supports the intervention in progress,” Patel added.
Shortly before the news about the armed attack appears, Kirk's official X account has published a message about the University event.
“We have returned. With strength,” Kirk wrote. “Utah Valley University is loaded and prepared for the first stop of the American Comeback Tour.”
At the beginning of the year was with Donald Trump Jr. in Greenland
Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was seen earlier this year and in the entourage of Donald Trump Jr., during a private visit to Greenland.

Donald Trump Jr. visited Greenland in January two weeks after his father had reiterated his wish to take control over the Danish autonomous territory.
