The president of Nicușor Dan said on Thursday, after the Constitutional Court rejected the notification of George Simion to cancel the elections, that “it was clear from the beginning for everyone that it is completely artificial.”

“Yes. I think it was clear from the beginning for everyone that it is completely artificial. I did not see the written one (the appeal filed by Simion at the CCR-no), but to say that hundreds of millions of euros were given in Moldova is totally unreasonable,” said Nicușor Dan, asked by journalists about the CCR decision. Nicușor Dan made these statements after participating in the Black Sea and Balkans Security 2025 event.

He said that at 12.00 he will be at the CCR, at the validation ceremony of the presidential elections.

The President of Gold accused, in the appeal filed at the Constitutional Court, without showing evidence, that the “votes of the Moldovans” were bought, that “administrative resources of another state” would have been canceled and that “deceased persons” would have voted.

At the 2nd round of the presidential elections on Sunday, Nicușor Dan overturned George Simion's advance from the first round and managed a unique return to the history of Romania.

Nicușor Dan was voted by 6,168,642 million Romanians, CEEs means 53.6% of the votes, and George Simion obtained 46.41% of votes, respectively 5,339,053 million votes.
