At the debate organized by Digi24 at the Cotroceni Palace, the three candidates were asked to indicate what are the candidates supported by the “system” and to define what they understand through this concept.
“When the candidates of the system say, they are here,” said Elena Lasconi, without giving a name. When they were asked to explicitly say their name, the USR president replied: “I will tell you that, but not now. This is not the only debate.”
Regarding the definition of the system, Lasconi said that it is made up of politicians and businessmen, linked to “a combination of combinations”. “There are people who panicked when he did not go out in the elections and then called the Constitutional Court Nuclear.”

Lasconi claims that the “system” wants a president who can be easily handled. “They need a drummer, who will become a puppet, not someone who has something to say or represent the Romanians,” said USR leader.
Crin Antonescu said that there are two different acceptances of the concept of “system”, which determines two different answers.
“I tell her with a patience. If through the system we understand the constitutional system, parties, elections, etc., we are all the people of the system and that I want to stay. If by the system we mean Deep State, a grief of people and institutions that exert political influence, I have only one candidate, who is Victor Ponta,” Antonescu said.
He wanted to respond to Elena Lasconi, if she targeted as one of the candidates present who is one of the system.
