Polish tourist pushed with a knife in Italy. A well -known footballer saved her life

Sky Sport reports that a 34-year-old Polish woman who lives in Bavaria on a daily basis, came to Italy to relax by the sea with her partner and child. In the evening, when her family remained in a rented apartment, the woman went out for a short walk with the dog. In one of the side streets she was attacked by a man who had a helmet on his head.
The attacker dealt her 10 blows with a knife to the head, neck and back. Despite the 34-year-old wounds, she managed to call for help. The perpetrator escaped on the motorcycle from the scene. Fortunately, there was Alessandro Bellemo nearby, a 30-year-old helper of the Sampdoria football team who spent vacation on his homeland. The athlete, when he heard the screams, immediately ran outside to check what happened.
Heroic action of a famous footballer
The footballer and his brother ran to a wounded woman. According to the accounts of witnesses, the Polish woman was conscious at the beginning, but her condition deteriorated with every moment. Bellemo and their brother gave her first aid, and then called the emergency services.
– We walked her almost to my house, and then we called help. At first she was conscious, then it was getting worse. She kept asking about her dog – later reported the footballer. An ambulance rapidly arrived and gave the injured party the necessary help, then transported her to the hospital. There, the doctors said that her life was not threatened by danger, even though the injuries were serious.
The police quickly managed to identify the suspect, who turned out to be a 25-year-old man, most likely having mental problems. He was detained and stayed in custody, waiting for further law enforcement decisions. The services also managed to locate the victim's dog who, scared, escaped from the scene. He was found by the staff of the nearby nursing home and healthy.
