Orange code of large storms and hail in four counties. Nowcasting alert issued by ANM

Meteorologists issued on Wednesday afternoon the orange code for strong storms and large hail for Argeș, Dâmbovița, Prahova and Buzău counties. In parallel, nowocast nowcasting of severe atmospheric instability for several localities in the country have been transmitted.

According to the National Meteorological Administration (ANM), in the areas under the orange code are expected large hail, torrential rains, frequent electric discharges and vigils. Dangerous phenomena will continue in the following hours.

At the same time, several localities in Vrancea, Argeș, Prahova and Dâmbovița counties are under the orange storm code. In Focșani, hail was reported by the size of a nut. The weather phenomena in these counties are expected to stop shortly.

Until Wednesday at 11:00 pm, a yellow code for the southern and eastern massifs, western Moldova and northern Muntenia is valid, where water quantities are expected and up to 70 km/h.

Neither will the capital be bypassed by the severe weather. This evening, Bucharest will be hit by storms accompanied by wind intensifications and heavy rains.

Authorities recommend to citizens in the targeted areas to avoid travel and remain in safe places during the manifestation of dangerous weather phenomena.
