The Metropolitan Train Bucharest, one of the most ambitious urban infrastructure projects in the last 30 years, has made progress by issuing urbanism certificates for the first four stop points: Pajura, Basarab, Carpathians and the Triaj depot.
The documents, signed by the interim general mayor Stelian Bujduveanu, mark the transition from the planning phase to the effective implementation of the project valued at about 500 million euros.
“For me, this project is not only a signed paper, but a change that we feel each. I know what it means to lose hours in traffic, to stay on the roads or to look for solutions to get home faster.”wrote the interim mayor of the capital Stelian Bujduveanu, on his Facebook page.
According to him, the metropolitan train means “Less time wasted in traffic, fast connections between neighborhoods and localities around Bucharest, a modern, comfortable and environmentally friendly transport. ”
