Video Powerful Explosion At Crater with Toxic Gas formed at Amara – UPDATE

An explosion occurred, on Friday night, in Amara, where a gas bag formed underground was reached while drilling works for a well. Because the area is isolated, no victims were reported. The causes of deflagration are not known so far, and in the area it burns with large flame.
Previously, at least 200 people from a neighborhood in the city of Amara, Ialomiţa County, were evacuated after a gas bag was reached during the drilling for a well. In the area a large crater formed, and the gases accumulated in the soil threw sludge at high height. The measurements made by specialists have detected breath hydrogen, methane gas and ammonium.
A strong explosion occurred during the evening at the gas crater formed in Amara.
The crater from which gas comes out in the city of Amara has increased, the concentrations of toxic substances have decreased, but the risk of explosion is maintained, informs the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) Ialomiţa.
“At this moment, the diameter of the crater formed. It has reached about 40-50 meters. Measurements were made at 7:00 pm, the concentrations of ammonia and methane gas have decreased. There is a danger of explosion,” says ISU.
The authorities in Ialomiţa County also issued a RO-Allert message in the case of gas emissions in the city of Amara which were caused as a result of works for drilling a fountain, writes Agerpres.
The population in the city of Amara is advised to respect the authorities' recommendations, to close the doors and windows, to stop the ventilation holes and to stop the ventilation and air conditioning facilities.
The incident was announced on Friday, after, while they were to arrange a fountain, several people found that a strong smell is felt in the area, reports News.ro.
The firefighters arrived there, the main hypothesis being that during the drilling a gas bag was reached, representatives of ISU Ialomiţa told News.ro.
At the scene of the incident, a crater with a diameter of 25 meters was formed, and from it the gases on the ground throw mud and water.
What gases did the crew detected CBRN crew
Since the area where the incident occurred is an inhabited one, about 100 people have been self-evacuated or evacuated.
The supply of natural gas and electricity in the area was stopped, after the CBRN crew (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) detected the breath, methane gas and ammonium.
Also, the area was isolated about 250-300 meters.
“On the spot are representatives of several institutions, a solution for this situation is sought,” says ISU Ialomiţa officials.
