Greenland in Trump's sights. Most Americans oppose [SONDAŻ]


86 percent Americans are against the US taking over Greenland by force, and 70 percent does not support the use of federal funds to purchase the island.
According to a survey conducted by YouGov, 30 percent Americans would support using state money to buy Greenland, which belongs to Denmark by President Donald Trump; 70 percent respondents would be against it.
Only 14 percent survey participants would support the use of force to take over the island; 86 percent is of a different opinion.

97 percent Democratic voters are against using force to take over Greenland; same 90 percent independent voters and 70 percent Republican voters. 30 percent Republican Party voters would support such a solution.
According to 69 percent respondents, taking Greenland by force would result in the US leaving NATO. The same percentage of respondents believe that taking over the island would cause instability in the world.
54 percent respondents answered that by taking over Greenland, the US would gain access to the necessary resources. 42 percent respondents assessed that it would be a show of force towards Russia and China.
The survey, conducted Jan. 14-16, surveyed 2,523 U.S. adults.
