The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, condemns the “act of totally unprotected violence on a racist” on the food delivery in Bangladesh, hit on Tuesday night on a street in Bucharest, and talks about a personal experience.
“While we show how confidence is doing us good, others instigate hatred, xenophobia and racism. Trust is fragile, especially when we tolerate sabotets who try and face it.
The minister publicly condemns the “act of violence” that he calls “totally unprovocated by a racist against a man who came to work in Romania”, as well as “racist, xenophobic and chauvinist who haunts the corridors of politics”.
Next, Rogobete confesses that he understands what it means to live with “natural worries for someone away from home”, saying that his parents went to work in Belgium when he was still in high school.
“” I know very well what I'm talking about. My parents went to Belgium to work when I was still in high school. I lived with the thought and with the natural worries for someone away from home. And I often put myself instead of any Romanian who works in Europe: how to be treated like this, in the country where I have a good time, but I have a good time? Work, ”writes the Minister of Health.
“That is why I insist on trusting Romanians. Most of us are people who clearly make the distinction between good and evil. People who work, who understand and do their duty. People with values and education. The example of the young policeman who intervened immediately, firmly and professionally, shows us that there is courage, education and real values.
Bangladesh worker struck with his fist in front on the street
On Tuesday night, a 20-year-old hit a bangladesh-driver on a street in Sector 2 of the Capital, shouting in English: “Go back to your country!” And “you are an invader.” The aggressor filmed the moment, but was immediately caught by a policeman in his free time. Preventively arrested for 30 days, the young man is accused of hitting for racial and xenophobic reasons.

The incident has aroused strong reactions.
“Such acts of xenophobic violence, however isolated it may seem, are an attack on the fundamental values of our society. The authorities should deal with this case with maximum seriousness, as a motivated hatred,” said President Nicușor Dan.
The incident came a few days after the gold deputy Dan Tanasa published on his Facebook page a viral message, urging Romanians to refuse the orders delivered by foreign couriers: “Refuse the order if it is not delivered by a Romanian. Do not encourage the import of unskilled workers from Asia and Africa!
