The head of European diplomacy Kaja Kallas asked on Sunday “all parties to take a step back” and return to the negotiation table, after US attacks on Iranian nuclear installations, AFP and Reuters reports.
In a post on the X network, Kaja Kallas, who is also vice-president of the European Commission, said that Iran should not be allowed to develop a nuclear bomb and urged calm.
“Iran should not be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon, because it would be a threat to international security. I ask all parties to take a step back, return to the negotiation table and avoid any climbing,” Kallas wrote on the X.

She said the EU foreign ministers will discuss the situation on Monday.
For his part, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer urged Iran to return to the negotiation table and said that stability in the region remains a priority.
“Iran's nuclear program represents a serious threat to international security. Iran can never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon, and the US have taken measures to reduce this threat,” Starmer said on the X.
“The situation in the Middle East remains volatile, and the stability in the region is a priority. We call on Iran to return to the negotiation table and find a diplomatic solution to end this crisis,” he added.
