The end of August did not bring major changes at distributors. Analysts expect stabilization of fuel prices at the beginning of September. However, drivers can pay more due to the end of holiday promotions.

In the last week of August, PB95 was paid for an average of PB95 gasoline PLN 5.81i.e. a penny more than a week ago – according to BM Reflex data. It was the first week in two months, in which the average retail price of PB95 did not reduce. Diesel cost on average 5.91 PLN/lso two grosze per liter less than last week. To the level PLN 2.65/l (i.e. -1 gr/l) The average retail price of autogas has decreased. This is the lowest average LPG price since February 2022.

Bankier.pl based on BM Reflex data.

At the same time, we write about average prices in the whole country. Prices at individual stations may vary by up to several dozen pennies per liter, depending on the location and strength of local competition.

Average fuel prices in Poland still remain slightly higher than they were in mid -June. And according to analysts, e-petrol.pl will not be lower in the near future, which is to be a derivative of wholesale prices. It is worth remembering that at the end of August holiday promotions expire. Therefore, even at unchanged retail prices, a large proportion of drivers can finally pay higher refueling bills.

It is still cheaper than a year ago. PB95 gasoline costs on average 45 gr/l less than 12 months ago. The average retail price of diesel has lowered by 36 gr/l. We refuel autogas by 19 gr/l cheaper than a year ago.

Wholesale stabilization

On August 29, Orlen offered Eurosuper 95 gas 4472 PLN/m3, i.e. 5.50 PLN/l after adding 23% VAT (excise duty, fuel fee and other parapodatki are already included in the wholesale price). This is practically the same every week or three weeks ago. Theoretically, such a wholesale price would still allow for several -way reduction in detail. But the events of the last few weeks allow us to suppose that retailers have permanently raised margins above the historical average.

The diesel, which was offered in wholesale after PLN 4,628/m3. After ovathing, it gives approx. 5.69 PLN/l, i.e. 7 gr/l more than a week ago. In such a system with further price reductions at distributors, there can be no question.

As usual, it is worth recalling that fuels could be much cheaper were it not for the taxes imposed by the authorities. From each liter of gasoline or diesel, over 50% of the state goes into the hands of the state. Without tribute to the government, we could refuel PB95 gasoline around PLN 2.60, diesel oil around PLN 2.80.
