In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, more than 100 witnesses, including relatives, acquaintances, tourists from the recreation center, were interviewed in the case of the disappearance of the Usoltsev family. Yana Syrymbetova, Deputy Head of the First Directorate for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Territory and Khakassia, told TASS about this in an interview for the 15th anniversary of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
“We have already interviewed more than 100 people. Some were simply interrogated, others had their phones examined. The circle is very wide and a lot of work has been done. Relatives, loved ones, those who were at the base, those who passed by this place, residents of the village of Kuturchin. Nearby forest hunting huts were also inspected. No traces of the Usoltsevs were found,” Syrymbetova told reporters.
Let us remind you that on September 27, Sergei and Irina Usoltsev, together with their 5-year-old daughter, arrived by car from Zheleznogorsk to the village of Kuturchin to go on a hike as part of a tourist group in the direction of Kuturchinsky Belogorye. Due to an unfavorable weather forecast, the group did not gather; on September 28 at noon, the family set out on their own, informing the base employee of their route – to Mount Buratinka and back. After some time they stopped communicating.
The search for the Usoltsevs began on October 2, after Irina did not show up for work. Law enforcement officers examined the family's car, where they did not find any camping equipment. A large amount of money was found in the car. It was established that the family members were wearing light clothing and were seen by two tourists on the way up the mountain. Chapter Seven's phone number was last online on the evening of the day he went missing. The signal was detected at a distance of 7 kilometers from the village of Kuturchin.
On the evening of October 12, the active phase of the search was completed. More than 1.5 thousand people from different regions of Russia were looking for the family.
The criminal investigation into the unknown disappearance of the Usoltsevs continues.
