The 30-year-old worker died during the collapse of the rock in the mine of Artyomovsky Mine JSC in the Kuraginsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the prosecutor's office reports.
Everything happened on August 26. It was preliminarily established that a citizen of Uzbekistan carried out work on drilling rocks for their subsequent strengthening. At this time, a collapse of the mountain mass occurred. The man was under the rubble and died from injuries on the spot.
“At the time of the accident, the mine, in which 48 people were located, worked as usual. At the moment, safety posts have been set on an emergency site. The prosecutor's office will check the compliance with the legislation on labor protection and industrial safety, and specialists of the labor inspectorate were involved in the region and Rostekhnadzor. The issue of initiating a criminal case is being resolved, ”said the supervisory department.
