The thieves from “deratization” stole 30,000 euros from an old man's house and hid them under the ground

Three men from Cluj County, who a week ago stole 30,000 euros, in various currencies, from the house of an old man from Târgu Mureş, where they entered the pretext that they were doing deratization works, were detained by the Mureş police.

The investigation in this case was opened by the police officers of the Criminal Investigation Bureau Târgu Mureş on August 18, after an old man claimed that from his apartment in Tîrgu Mureş, a sum of money was stolen exceeding 30,000 euros, writes News.
“From the checks carried out, two unknown persons would have entered the apartment of an 81-year-old man, from Târgu Mureş, and, under the pretext of carrying out a deratization, would have stolen from a room several amounts of money, in different currencies, worth over 30,000 euros. informs the Mureş County Police.

The investigation led the police to the hypothesis that the main suspects are three men aged 26, 54 and 56, from Bonţida, Cluj County.
On Tuesday, the investigators descended on the homes of the three suspects, and following some home searches recovered some of the damage. “There have been discovered and raised several material means of proof, but also more money, worth over 112,000 lei, some being discovered in the ground, buried under the searched locations ”says the quoted source.
The money was placed in plastic bags and buried under the floors of the houses. Three men were led to the headquarters of the police unit, to continue the investigations, being detained for 24 hours. On Wednesday, August 27, they will be presented to magistrates with legal proposal.
