A Romanian model, number 1 in car sales in Europe

Dacia had an excellent month on the European market. In July, the Romanian brand sold over 54,600 cars, 15% more than in the same period last year. The growth was supported by the launch of Bigster, but also by the return of the Spring electric model, according to profit.ro.

However, the star of the month was Dacia Sandero, who remained in the first place in the sales ranking in Europe. With about 21,000 units delivered, the Romanian model has exceeded consecrated rivals such as Volkswagen T-Rroc or Toyota Yaris Cross. In total, from the beginning of the year and until now, Sandero has been chosen by over 152,000 customers, confirming once again its huge success on the continental market.

Sandero registered a decrease of about 8%in July, and for the first seven months of the year the decline is approaching 10%. During this period, 152,600 units were sold, with over 15,000 less than in the same stage of 2024.

Spring, Dacia's electric car returned after the break caused by model change. In July, over 2,200 units were sold, and for the first seven months it passed the threshold of 21,000 cars. Instead, Logan remains almost exclusively on the Romanian and Bulgaria market, with modest sales in the rest of Europe.
