The EU ambassador reacts to the conditions of Vladimir Putin. Decisive words

After the meeting of Vladimir Putin with Donald Trump in Alaska, on Friday, August 15, the US President was to convey to European leaders that Putin is still making demands regarding the territory of Ukraine. According to the Bloomberg agency, one of its conditions is the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the Donetsk and Lugansk region and the devotion of Russia unpaid by it so far. Then he is ready to freeze the front line. Katarina Mathernova – the EU ambassador in Kiev sharply commented on these demands, considering them unacceptable. She appealed for the joint opposition of Europe and the USA during the Monday meeting in the White House.
Mathernova: Putin's proposal “unacceptable”
The EU ambassador said that Vladimir Putin's peace proposal, presented to Donald Trump in Anchorage, is nothing other than the “Aggressor's dictation”, which Ukraine cannot agree to. In her opinion, peace should be based on respect for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. “No illusions, no compromises with aggressors,” wrote Katarina Mathernov on Facebook, emphasizing that this is the opinion of the European Union.
The diplomat also emphasized that the presence of a seven -person delegation of European leaders who are to accompany Wołodymyr Zelnski in Washington would be a “clear signal” that Europe is on the side of Ukraine.
“Together with the United States, we must push Putin towards a real suspension of weapons, and then a real room – something that did not take place in Anchorage,” she wrote. She also added that the acceptance of the “Peace” version, dictated by Putin, could be dangerous for all of Europe.
The schedule of Monday meetings assumes that the leaders will come to the White House at 12 (6pm in Poland) and first a double meeting of the presidents of the US and Ukraine will take place. Only later will the talks in the extended format begin. Europe will be represented in them by: Chairwoman of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Secretary General of NATO Mark Rutte, President of France Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Prime Minister of Great Britain Keir Starmer, Italy Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and President of Finland Alexander Stubb.
