“The government is dealing with the matter”
Tomasz Siemoniak, coordinator of secret services, emphasized in an interview with “Rzeczpospolita” that this matter is serious and is noticed by the government. As he noted, the leading role is played by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Digitization. In turn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski pointed out that in order to build the country's cyber resilience, it is crucial to adopt an amendment to the Act on the National Cybersecurity System.
“Rzeczpospolita” also pointed out that the technologies with which modern Chinese cars are equipped make them not only a means of transport, but also an advanced multisensory platform collecting a lot of data: cameras and LiDARs can create three-dimensional maps (of military bases and infrastructure) and track the movements of troops. “It is possible to remotely take over control of cars, and as a result, there is a risk of blocking the roads,” the text added.
