Zombie fingers
Ingredients:
- 250 g dates;
- 100 g dark chocolate;
- 3 tablespoons peanut butter;
- 3 tablespoons oatmeal;
- a handful of almonds;
- a few spoons of jam.
Preparation:
- Place the dates, chopped chocolate, peanut butter and oats in a blender, then blend until smooth.
- Form the mixture into “fingers” and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
- Use almonds to create nails and attach them to your fingers with jam.
- Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least an hour to firm up the fingers.
Tomato soup with eyes
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons butter;
- 1 onion;
- 3 cloves of garlic;
- 120 ml dry white wine;
- 1½ kg chopped tomatoes in their own juice;
- 950 ml chicken broth;
- 3 sprigs of oregano or marjoram;
- 60 ml milk;
- 60 ml low-fat cream;
- salt and ground black pepper to taste;
- 20–30 small mozzarella balls;
- 10-15 olives stuffed with peppers.
Preparation:
- Melt the butter in a saucepan and fry the chopped onion and garlic.
- Pour in the wine and cook for 1-2 minutes until the liquid has almost completely evaporated.
- Add tomatoes, broth and oregano or marjoram sprigs. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for about 45 minutes until thickened. Remove the herbs.
- If desired, puree the soup in a blender, then pour in the milk and cream. Season with salt and pepper.
- Make mozzarella and olive eyes by inserting the olive halves into the cheese balls.
- Pour the soup into bowls and add a few “eyes” to it.
Meringue ghosts
Ingredients:
- 2 egg whites;
- ½ teaspoon lemon juice;
- 125 g powdered sugar;
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or a pinch of vanillin;
- black gel food coloring or melted dark chocolate.
Preparation:
- Beat the egg whites until fluffy with a mixer at low speed, add lemon juice.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, continuing to beat on medium speed until the mixture is thick and fluffy.
- Add vanilla and stir.
- Transfer the mixture into a piping bag and form ghosts on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Shape the ghosts' faces using food coloring or chocolate.
- Bake in the oven at 95°C for 40-60 minutes, then let cool completely in the oven.
