The Meduza portal has published a list of professions and activities that cannot be done to foreigners in the Russian Federation. Due to the autonomy of regional authorities in different parts of the country, depending on local conditions and needs, different areas of activity are closed to immigrants. Most often inaccessible to foreigners is the work of a courier, a taxi driver or a bus as well as a teacher and a chef. However, there are many more unusual restrictions.

In the self -visiting circuit, drones must not be built and baked bread, and in Tatarstan repair technical devices and deal with accounting. In the Krasnojar country, local authorities forbid immigrants to work at the forest and as a hairdresser, while in the Rostian region foreigners will not find employment in the metallurgical industry and in the gym.

Regions in central and eastern Russia have a special approach to the issue of restrictions. On kamchatka immigrants are not allowed to collect forest fruit and work with tourists, and hunt in omsk. In turn, in the Permian country, foreigners do not allow them to work on the extraction of crude oil and gas, and in the Włodzimierz region when preparing food for children and transporting hazardous materials. Participation in alcohol trade is unavailable in Chuwaszji for foreigners.

However, in recent months, many regions have gradually started to endure the restrictions introduced previously. The reason is an increasingly severe lack of workforce, resulting not only from the rigorous Moscow's antymigration policy, but also aggression on Ukraine, which contributed to the deficiency of employees sent massively to the front.
