Poczta Polska will not reduce employment in the near future, the company's president Sebastian Mikosz told PAP. He added that the operator's EBITDA result for 2025 will be positive and higher than last year, which indicates that the company is becoming more and more financially stable.

In Mikosz's opinion, the improving financial situation of Poczta Polska is evidenced by the EBITDA result (operating profit excluding interest on incurred liabilities, as well as taxes and depreciation – PAP) for 2025, which will be higher than for 2024.
– For this year, just like last year, EBITDA will be positive. This year we increased this plus. (…) This will confirm the trend of our financial stabilization. This means that 2026 will be more difficult for us, because we will expect investments, and we do not yet have sufficient funds for this. (…) Our biggest problem as an institution is that we have been investing dramatically too little over the last 20 years – said the PAP interlocutor.
He added that increasing investments will be “the biggest challenge for the Post Office in the next 2-3 years” and it is necessary to ensure positive changes for both the Post Office's customers and its employees.
Asked whether Poczta Polska anticipates mass layoffs in the near future, Mikosz replied that “at the moment there are no plans to reduce employment”, which – as he assessed – is currently “stabilized at a fairly good level”.
– However, please remember that when we make changes to employment contracts, we must apply the group dismissal procedure, but these are “technical” dismissals.. (…) We were high in the statistics, but not because we were reducing employment. (…) There will come a time when we will employ again – he concluded.
