Chatgpt new Googlem. The revolution is already here

Chatgpt is the equivalent of Google search engine 20 years ago. Until now, “Ask Google” has been said, now it is more and more often said “ask chatgpt” – told PAP Bartosz Wójcik, author of the report “How do Polish Internet users use ChatgPT?” Gemius and Polish internet research.

The expert emphasized that the popularity of Chatgpt results, among others out of the need for quick access to content on the Internet. – We no longer have to run the search engine, search pages, read and filter information. All you need is one text field in which we enter or dictate the question, and in exchange we get a ready answer – he assessed.
Google 20 years ago
The study also shows that The average user spends over two hours a month from ChatGPT. People aged 25–34 spend the most time there – in June an average of 2 hours and 42 minutes – and their number exceeded 2.1 million. The analysis also showed overrepresentation among the youngest users, aged 7-14.
Gender in the report The advantage of women using chatgpt is visible – their number reached nearly 4.93 million, while men were about 4.4 million. According to the expert, this may result from the differences between the population structure and the range. – In the population of Internet users, women have a little advantage. In June, women constituted about 51.4 percent. – He assessed and noted that it looks analogous to the criterion of the place of residence or education.
The author of the study compared GPT to “Google twenty years ago”. – Until now, “Ask Google” has been said, now we hear more and more often “ask chatgpt”. The popularity is so great that the name itself has become synonymous with other artificial intelligence tools – he emphasized. In his opinion, the number of active AI users will grow in the coming years, and the use of such tools will become a natural element of everyday life on the web.

On August 7, OPENENAI presented a new GPT-5 modelreferred to as “the most intelligent, fastest and most useful.” The company emphasized that before its launch, advisory groups for safety and mental health were established, in which over 90 doctors and specialists were found who were to develop mechanisms for detecting emotional problems of users.
– OpenAI first flooded the world with its application, and now deals with side effects – commented a psychologist from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, head of the “Humantech” Social and Technology Innovation Center, Konrad Maj.
He emphasized that similar phenomena were previously observed in the case of social media. – Time will show whether these actions will realistically and effectively serve mental health or whether they will only be an image procedure – he added.
Opeli also decided to introduce encouragement to breaks in the use of chatgpt. Among them are to appear, among others Notifications about time spent with AI, e.g. “Do you want to take a break?”, suggestions of breathing exercises and mindfulness technoms that would reduce stress during intensive work. Chatgpt would also analyze how the user writes and suggest educational materials about mental health or a visit to a professional, in the case of a conversation indicating emotional problems.
According to psychologist, Konrad Maja “is a step towards digital hygiene.” – Notifications about the break remind me of a school bell that signals that it's time to get out of the bench and stretch your legs. Breathing exercises or mindfulness techniques can help reduce tension, but you have to remember that people in mental crisis may not react to such suggestions – he assessed and added that in his opinion “the key is also the question – did Otnai order any research showing the effectiveness of such incentives to take a break and on what basis it was set when the system is to send any allets? It communicated its limitations – that he was information support, not a therapist – he emphasized.
The psychologist said that Studies on technology anthropomorphization, including his team, show that the youngest users rarely retain a critical distance. – They can take answers without reflection, ignoring independent verification of information. The conversation with AI does not replace contact with a man who provides a tone of voice, gestures and looks – the foundations of interpersonal competences. It is particularly dangerous to give a human voice, because the mind treats it as contact with a rational being – he assessed.
The resort is working on protection
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski, asked in the PAP studio about whether in connection with the growing commitment, among others Children in the use of CHATGPT should also be introduced additional security at the national level, he replied that “the ministry is working on an act, which will also give greater opportunities to protect what the algorithm and artificial intelligence do with the life of man.”
– European EIA-AKT (European availability act, EU Directive, which determines the requirements for the availability of digital products and services- PAP) is implemented in Poland today and these works have already begun. When it comes to language models, they should be treated like the whole internet. That is, you have to explain dangers, talk a lot about digital hygiene, about digital ethics and build lessons – said Deputy Prime Minister and pointed out that such “digital lessons” are taking place throughout Poland. – We have free materials, we send to schools so that teachers and parents and students also build a conviction of what the digital world next to you is – he explained.
– I am a fan of digitization, but digital hygiene is also one of the leitmotifs in the ministry I will manage – said Gawkowski. – We must explain that the new technologies also follow threats, which a young man must imagine, and at the same time we must make this to parents who sometimes without such thinking, which can happen, share devices and say: have fun, “Gawkowski pointed out.
The report on Chatgpt (www version and mobile application) of Gemius and Polish internet research was based on MediaPanel. Data for the CHATGPT mobile application is available in the study from February 26, 2025. Earlier data take into account only data for the browser version.
MediaPanel is a power-sized cross-media survey, including passive measurement of internet, television, radio and external advertising consumption, implemented thanks to the cooperation of Gemius, Polish Internet research, the Radio Research Committee and the OOHLife of the Chamber of Commerce. The results of the study allow to determine the total range of individual media channels and estimate the potential of entire media groups. (PAP)
