A fraudster from the Volgograd region on the street sold the Divnogorstsy power tools and left without money (video)

In Divnogorsk, a fraudster who came from the Volgograd region deceived pensioners.

In May of this year, a local 85-year-old resident turned to the duty unit in Divnogorsk. He said that the stranger stole 190 thousand rubles from him. As the police found out, the attacker approached the pensioner on the street and offered to purchase a power tool for 50 thousand rubles.

Agreeing on a deal, an elderly man invited the seller to his home to pay. Without suspecting the catch, he handed the stranger a wallet with savings so that he himself counted the desired amount. However, he took 190 thousand instead of 50 thousand.

A few days later, another 79-year-old Divnogorets contacted the police with a statement that 75 thousand rubles had disappeared from his bank account. The same stranger drove up to a man on the street and offered to purchase a gas generator and a screwdriver for 30 thousand rubles. The pensioner agreed and handed the driver his phone, as he himself does not know how to use the bank’s mobile application. The attacker instead of 30 thousand rubles. Transferred to my account all the money available.

The police detained a 32-year-old suspect. As it turned out, he came to Divnogorsk from the Volgograd region and already has a criminal record for property crimes. In relation to the attacker, criminal cases of fraud and theft from a bank account were instituted. The Divnogorsk court found the man guilty and sentenced him to 3.5 years in prison. All the stolen money was returned to the victims.
