A scandal related to the method of spending funds within the National Reconstruction Plan [KPO] It exploded when a map showing enterprises that received subsidies from the fund for the so -called HoReCa sector. It includes: hotel, gastronomic and catering industries.
It's about the total amount PLN 1.2 billion (from PLN 254 billion for Poland), which should be allocated to modernization and diversification of entrepreneurs. It was a response to the crisis that companies from these industries experienced as a result of coronaviru pandemic.
However, the map published on the KPO website shows that some entrepreneurs who received subsidies have allocated money, including for yachts, luxury furniture, saunas, virtual shooting range or a house on the water. Further examples of controversial subsidies are made available on social media.

Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz was also asked whether it was possible to move funds from the hotel and catering industry. “KPO money for the Horeca industry could not be moved to other purposes,” she said.
