The war in Ukraine, started by Putin more than three years ago, continues — with no signs of ending. Contrary to Russia's original goal, the country was attacked significantly strengthened its military capabilities.
Even the most ardent Russian propagandists had to admit that Ukraine not only shows no signs of collapse and is not giving up, but on the contrary – it is getting stronger. Vladimir Solovyov, known as “Putin's puppet”, recently made a surprising statement.
— Ukraine is not falling, but is becoming stronger, he said, quoted by Euromaidan Press. He admitted that the Russian armed forces they fundamentally underestimated the situationbelieving that NATO only sends finished products to Kiev.
Ukraine focuses on domestic production
The data confirms Ukraine's arms boom. In the first half of 2025, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense increased domestic orders by EUR 3.6 billion (over PLN 15 billion) compared to the same period of the previous year. As a result, weapons and equipment of Ukrainian production currently constitute 71.4 percent. all defense purchases.
In 2022, only 10 percent Ukrainian weapons were produced locally. In 2023, this percentage increased to over 35%. By mid-2025, at least 40 percent weapons were already produced in the country. President Volodymyr Zelensky promised that by the end of the year 50 percent all weapons on the front will come from Ukraine, which, taking into account current production, will probably be achieved before the deadline.

Zelensky confirmed that since 2022, Ukraine's defense industry has expanded several times. For next year, it forecasts that the value of domestic production of drones and rockets will amount to USD 35 billion. (approx. PLN 128 billion)
Drones are an ace up Ukraine's sleeve
Drones have proven to be Kiev's most effective weapon on the front. The President of Ukraine emphasized his country's leading position in Europe in the field of unmanned systems. Combat drones dominate the battlefield, and maritime drones have changed the game in the Black Sea.
Okay. 95 percent Ukraine's drones are currently produced domestically, and the remaining five percent at plants in Denmark and Germany. When it comes to the production of missiles, approximately 80 percent comes from the country, and the rest are joint projects with Poland and Denmark.
Despite Russia's initial intentions, Ukraine has succeeded significantly strengthen its military capabilities and become an important weapons producer. In early September, it announced that it was introducing swarms of drones with artificial intelligence into the fight, capable of making decisions without an operator.
“Putin's puppet”
Vladimir Soloviev is a Russian television presenter considered the Kremlin's chief spokesman and often called Vladimir Putin's “propagandist-in-chief”. He studied engineering and economics, taught physics and worked in a variety of professions before founding a disco equipment company in the 1990s and then becoming CEO of a Russian recruitment agency.
