Three foreign citizens were detained under accused that they stole jewelry and other goods during the Untold Festival in Cluj-Napoca. They were caught on Monday at Cluj airport, before taking off to Barcelona, the Romanian Police announces.
“Between 7 and 10 August AC, following a music festival, held in Cluj-Napoca, 16 notifications were registered regarding the theft of jewelry. In this context, the policemen who acted in the festival area carried out informative-operative activities for the rapid identification of the persons involved,” the Romanian police announced.
Thus, on Sunday night, the police found a 44 -year -old man, a foreign citizen, suspected of committing several of the facts reported. Continuing the research, it was established that he acted with three others. Thus, the man was detained, for 24 hours, the police said.
Arrest before take -off
Subsequently, with the support of the border police officers of the Cluj-Napoca Airport Border Police sector, investigators learned information on the suspect's plane travel, including data that confirmed that it has traveled to Romania along with the other three persons involved.
Thus, yesterday, three people, a 30 -year -old woman and two men, 46 and 37, were detected in the airport terminal, while preparing to carry out security control for boarding to Barcelona.
At the body control and luggage checking, several goods were discovered on them, including 18 gold chains, perfumes, cigarette cartridges, coffee packs, as well as other goods. The three were detained for 24 hours.
