In his opinion, the expectations of the negotiations of US President Donald Trump with the leader of Russia Vladimir Putin, announced on August 15 in Alaska, are overstated.

“The two -sided Russia -United States format will not solve the issue of war and peace in its entirety. I emphasize again: the United States may have the right, Trump may have the right to meet with whom it wants, (talk – PAP) on any topics. But if we want to come to the finals of this war, the presence of Ukraine is necessary, just like the presence of Europe (…) Podolak on a television program.

Zelanski's advisor decided that the meeting in Alaska would not bring important results. “In my opinion, we will not get anything important. However, it is understanding what the Russian Federation is and what Putin understands by the end of the war,” he emphasized.

He also assessed that the possibility of Zelanski's participation in conversations on August 15 in Alaska is half and half, because “there is no scenario for now.”
