The zoo said that the tigress Yushka gave birth to offspring on the evening of August 6 and first looked after the cubs. However, the next day her interest decreased.
“As an inexperienced mother, she, unfortunately, stopped caring for babies – behavior that can be found in animals that give birth for the first time. My ear during the first experience instinctively did a lot and gained a certain experience, but today we were forced to intervene and put to sleep three weakened cubs to protect ourselves from suffering,” the report said.
The zoo hopes that this experience will help Yushka in the next offspring.
