In Krasnoyarsk they said goodbye to the honorary citizen of the region Vsevolod Sevastyanov

In the Great Concert Hall of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic Society a farewell ceremony was held for the honorary citizen of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Vsevolod Sevastyanov. This was reported by the press service of the governor and the regional government.

Vsevolod Nikolaevich passed away on June 7, 2026 at the age of 89. Hundreds of Krasnoyarsk residents came to say goodbye to him. Among them were relatives, friends, colleagues, government officials and residents of the region.

Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov and Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region Dmitry Sviridov expressed condolences to the family. The head of the region noted that Vsevolod Sevastyanov dedicated his life to his native land and made a great contribution to its development.

“Vsevolod Nikolaevich, truly a man of the era, a man of legend. He was proud to be born in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a land of great achievements and serious people,” said Mikhail Kotyukov.

Dmitry Sviridov noted Sevastyanov’s role in the formation of modern regional parliamentarism. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory five times and participated in the development of many large projects in the region.

Vsevolod Sevastyanov was born on March 10, 1938 in Krasnoyarsk. In 1964 he graduated from the Siberian Technological Institute with a degree in chemical fiber technology. Over the years, he was the rector of a plant-technological college, now it is Reshetnev University, and also headed the Siberian Technological Institute.

From 1990 to 1991, Sevastyanov served as chairman of the regional Council of People's Deputies. From 1994 to 2016 he was a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Since 2017, he has worked as a freelance adviser to the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and was a member of the board of trustees of Reshetnev University.
