Secret recipe for pilaf without meat: fasting is not a reason to give up delicious, feed everyone

Looking for an easy and delicious recipe for a lean table? This pilaf is ideal. Without meat, but with aromatic spices, sweet corn and delicate rice, it turns out so tasty that even those who do not observe the post will like it.

Rice – 1.5 cups (preferably long -grain or steamed)

Canned corn – 1 bank

Carrots – 2 pcs.

Onions – 2 pcs.

Garlic-2-3 cloves (optional)

Vegetable oil – 40 ml (sunflower or olive)

Salt – 1 tsp. (or to taste)

Black pepper – ½ tsp.

Spices – 1 tsp. Zira, ½ tsp. turmeric, ½ tsp. papriki (you can replace the finished mixture for pilaf)

Greens – parsley or cilantro for feeding

Water – 2.5 cups

Rice preparation: rinse the rice to transparent water and soak for 15-20 minutes.

Vegetables: cut onions in half rings, carrots – strips or grate on a coarse grater.

Fry: heat the oil in a cauldron or deep pan. Fry the onion until golden, then add the carrots and pass until soft.

Adding corn: Drain the liquid from a can of corn and add grains to the vegetables. Mix.

Filling rice: drain the water from rice, lay it on top of the vegetables, smooth it.

Filling: pour hot water so that it covers the rice 1.5-2 cm. Salt, pepper, add spices.

Cooking: Bring to a boil, then reduce the fire, cover with a lid and languish for 20-25 minutes until the rice absorbs water.
