“FT”, by reporting Nawrocki in parliament, pointed out his announcement of opposition to the reforms of the fruit, questioning the pro -EU policy and a call to changes in the constitution. “This emphasized the likelihood of confrontational presidency and awkward coexistence with Tusk and his reformer, pro -European program,” we read in the article.

The British journal called Nawrocki a “political novice”, who “accused Tusk's administration of taking unlawful nomination as officials (judges – PAP) elected by the National Law and Justice party.” The text quotes a fragment of his message delivered in the parliamentary hall, when he said that “it is difficult to call a law -abiding state in which a legally elected national prosecutor does not operate.”

“Nawrocki seems to be an even more brave opponent than his predecessor Andrzej Duda,” said “FT”, while reminding that in recent months Duda has exercised the law of the presidential veto regarding reforms, including the judicial, proposed by the government of Prime Minister Tusk.

The newspaper also noted that “Nawrocki, a former amateur boxer and himself considering himself a changed football hooligan, signaled the opposition to other flagship Tusk's politician, including deeper European integration.”

By reporting the president's speech before the National Assembly, “FT” wrote that Nawrocki and his wife received a standing ovation from right -wing parliamentarians chanting the name “Karol” when they entered the meeting room. “Donald Tusk, sitting with his ministers, remained without a smile and did not clap,” noted the newspaper.

“FT” informed that the prime minister before the President's message posted a video on a social networking site, in which he called his supporters to maintain unity in the face of defeat in the presidential election. And after Nawrocki's speech, Donald Tusk announced that the members of his government, as the “Guardians of the Constitution”, would oppose all attempts to cross the presidential rights.

The article also mentioned that before the presidential election, Nawrocki objected to Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO. At the same time, it was reminded that during a telephone conversation, which occurred last week, with the President of Ukraine, Wołodylym, “Nawrocki repeated his demands that Kiev would recognize the cruelty committed by Ukrainians in his territory towards Poles during World War II, but he also promised further support for Ukraine in the war with Russia.”

Guardian: Speech announcement of the conflict

The message that the new President Karol Nawrocki gave on Wednesday in the Sejm is a announcement of a conflict with the pro -European government of Prime Minister Donald Tusk – said the British daily Guardian. In the commentary, the newspaper also emphasized the importance of Nawrocki's personal relationship with US President Donald Trump.

According to “Guardian”, the speech of the new President of Poland was “directed directly to Prime Minister Donald Tusk and his allies.” He quoted a fragment of Nawrocki's statement, in which he argued that the voters signaled in the presidential election that “still cannot be ruled and that Poland should not look like this today.”

The daily reminded that Nawrocki conducted an election campaign under the slogan “First of all Poland, first Poles”, which referred to the slogan of Trump “America First” (“America above all”). He also mentioned the importance of Nawrocki's support given to him by Trump during a meeting in Washington in recent weeks before the election in Poland.

By reporting the Wednesday speech of the President of Poland before the National Assembly, “Guardian” noted that a delegation from the White House took part in the ceremony. “It is also worth noting that Nawrocki wore a characteristic red tie, inspired by (ties worn by – PAP) Trump,” he wrote.

According to the journal, in the face of the increasingly aggressive policy of Russia “Poland will count on the fact that Nawrocki's personal relations with Trump will help (its – PAP) in talks with the US administration regarding defense.” The article quotes the statement of the former Polish ambassador in the United States Marek Magierowski, who in the analysis for the Think Tank Atlantic Council assessed that the bonds between politicians can “help both countries to keep the alliance in the fight against Russia.”

In the opinion of the newspaper, “Nawrocki will fully use his rights, trying to oppose Tusk who loses more and more popularity.” The president outlined in his speech “several preliminary lines of the front”, including challenging the government plan to restore the rule of law and an announcement of introducing changes to the Constitution until 2030.

“Law and Justice hopes to take advantage of Nawrocki's success in the preparations for parliamentary elections in 2027, to return to power, potentially in a coalition with an extremely right -wing confederation” – summed up the daily.
