In the unmanned aircraft, which flew to Lithuania from Belarus last week and crashed at the training ground in Gaiżiunaia in the center of the country, an explosive charge was detected – the prosecutor general Nida Grunskiene said on Tuesday.

– After examining the device, it was established that it contained an explosive charge, which Lithuanian military specialists effectively neutralized at the scene of the incident – Grunskiene said at a press conference in Vilnius.
Commander of the General Staff of the Air Force, Colonel Dainius Paszkeviczius, announced that 2 kilograms of explosives were found in the drone. He added for comparison that the “shahad” drone can transfer up to 50 kilograms of explosives.
Last Monday, an unmanned aerial vehicle flew to Lithuania from Belarus. It was found only on Friday at a training ground in the Ionavian region.
It was the second case of violation of the airspace by a drone flying from Belarus over the past month. On July 7, an unmanned aerial vehicle flew into Lithuania from Belarus near a closed border control point in Szumsk, about a kilometer from the border.
Prosecutor General Grunskiene said that available data indicate that in both cases they were Gerbera's drones.
