The statements given by David Popovici, immediately after the gold from 100 meters free to CM from Singapore

On Thursday, immediately after the Golden Finals from 100m Free, David Popovici said he was glad that he did not beat the world record, 46.40, which belongs to Pan Zhanle.

“I tried to think as little as possible about the medals, as I usually do. I think I was a little more pessimistic in the period before this contest than the others, but once again I have proven that I am better than I sometimes think I do not trust myself. I think it is human.

Very good I didn't make the record now, that if I beat him now it would have been a too big jump. That way I still have something to shoot for. I am honestly glad I didn't do it now.

It does not seem impossible for me, as proof I approached so much, at 11 hundredths. I am not in a hurry, we have a lot until Los Angeles (no – at the 2028 Olympic Games), “David Popovici told Singapore.
