Serious video on the Bucharest – Brașov route: Astra Trans Carpatic Private Train, filled with flames. Passengers evacuated alone
A serious incident took place this afternoon, around 3:45 pm, when a passenger train operated by the private company Astra Trans Carpatic, on the route Bucharest-Brașov, was affected by a fire. Several wagons were filled with smoke, and the travelers were forced to evacuate themselves, in the absence of any organized intervention from the on-board staff.
According to the information transmitted by the HotNews reporter on the spot, the company's employees have proven completely outdated. They would have tried to extinguish the fire with a simple glass of water, as can be seen in the images captured by the journalist Hotnews, a practice that seriously contravenes the safety and prevention of fires in rail transport.
Moreover, the only visible extinguisher on the spot seemed non -functional and had been abandoned on one of the platforms.
Until this time, the incident was not completely remedied. Hundreds of passengers are still blocked in the North Railway Station in Bucharest, waiting for clear measures from the operator or the competent authorities.
