PGZ is developing cooperation with Ukraine. Common production and new technologies are planned

PGZ wants Not only to provide military equipment with Ukraine, but also intensification of unmanned technology and rocket systems. As emphasized by Grabowski, the Polish arms industry highly assesses the strategic potential of Ukraine in this field. “We want to share defensive technologies together and provide a safe place for Ukrainian production in Poland,” said the deputy head of PGZ.
Cooperation declarations appeared in the context of the visit of the Polish delegation, headed by Paweł Kowal – chairman of the Sejm Foreign Affairs Committee and the head of the Council for Cooperation with Ukraine. Interfax-Ukrain interview was published shortly after subsequent talks between the pages that took place in Kiev.
Grabowski reminded that Poland has been actively supporting Ukraine from the first days of Russian invasion, passing its weapons. Among the equipment provided by PGZ were the 155 mm crab gun, Rosomak armored personnel carriers and 120 mm caliber carburetors. Porune portable missile sets, also PGZ, have gained special recognition at the Ukrainian front.
Talks with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and representatives of the arms industry were already taken in April during the Polish-Ukrainian Defense Industry Forum in Lviv. Dialogue was continued in May and during the last visit of the Polish delegation to Kiev. “This is not our last visit to Ukraine this year. We want to work together to strengthen cooperation in the area of arms,” assured Jan Grabowski.
The development of unmanned technologies is to be a significant area of joint activities. PGZ and the Ukrainian defense industry intend to work on solutions covering sea and air drones and other unmanned systems. Grabowski also emphasized the potential of rocket technologies, which he considered one of the main axes of cooperation. “Rocket technologies in Ukraine are strong, and we would like to act in this field together,” he noted.
PGZ is also involved in maintaining and servicing the equipment used on the front. In Poland there are repairs of tanks returning from combat operations, including the replacement of barrels produced by Polish plants. Similar renovations of the cannon crab are organized both in Poland and directly in Ukraine. The PGZ vice president mentioned the plans for the production of barrels in Ukraine. “I see this as great potential to continue to strengthen cooperation,” he emphasized.
Last year, PGZ created the Orel service in Ukraine, which deals with the repairs of military equipment supplied by Poland. “We are developing a repair base for equipment and support the Ukrainian front. Polish-Ukrainian cooperation has a chance to go to a new level,” Grabowski declared in an interview with Interfax-Ukrain.
